A procedurally-generated horror game built in Unity3D for the Oculus Rift. It's very easy to get lost in dungeons that don't obey the laws of Euclidean space.
Spoopy is a procedurally-generated horror game for the Oculus Rift. Developing for the Oculus Rift presented many challenges. We were not going to use it just as a fancy screen, which is what many games present it as. We were able to use it to simulate your eyes adjusting to varying levels of light in order to immerse the player. In these dungeons you could take four lefts and be in a completely different place from where you started. This is because our dungeons do not adhere to Euclidean space and will allow many rooms to exist in the same perceived position.
Built in Unity for the Oculus Rift
Invented modular AI to separate senses, behaviors, and actions
Utilized post-processing to create an immersive experience such as the player focusing to light
Created an audio system to compose an ambient soundscape that follows the player
Designed algorithm to allocate locked doors so that there is natural progression with the collection of keys
